101 Things in 1,001 Days
for those of you that know me well, you know i'm tragically inconsistent with following through with big ideas. and small ones, for that matter. so, when i saw 101 thing in 1,001 days on erin*carly's blog the other day, i thought 'hey, look at this! another big idea. i'm gonna give this one a try.'
and then i remembered my less-than-stellar history with this kind of stuff.
i wrestled with the idea some more. on one hand it sounds like a great idea. and it would finally prove to myself, that yes, i can finish something. but, on the other hand, honestly, am i really going to give a fuck in a week, a month, a year?
well, obviously i decided to, in fact, force myself to 'give a fuck.' at least for now that is. when i approached the task of making my list, which was surprisingly harder than i thought it was going to be, i tried to include things that i not only want to do but also some things that i need to do.
and when i finally came to good ol' number 101, i looked back at the list and thought, 'if i actually do all of this (or at least the majority) in about 2.75 years, that'd be pretty bad ass.' we shall see.
start date: 1.13.07
end date: 10.10.10
two things that immediately come to mind regarding the end date: 1) it's triple 10, and 2) the 2010 chicago marathon is probably on october 10th. and that being one of my goals, i thought it was a good omen. some sort of numerical blessing, if you will.
drum roll please. and now for the list...

I agree with BradfordT up there about the sunrise/set item. Good thing to have.
And beating Dr. Mario! That is a noble goal!
Best of luck with your list - I hope that you stay safe and have fun achieving your goals.
